Shadow Cliff is fortunate to have talented, knowledgable and personable coaches that have helped carry on a long tradition of swimming at the pool. Each of the coaches has been a Shadow Cliff Shark and knows what it takes to run a successful summer program.

Coach Sophie was a member of the Shadow Cliff Sharks swim team for 13 years. She is returning for her 9th year as head coach, after serving as an assistant coach for 5 years. She has previously worked as head developmental coach for the Alamo Area Aquatics NE club team. She graduated from MacArthur high school as a 2-year swim team captain and attended Texas State University where she earned her degree in Special Education. She currently teaches at Encino Park Elementary.
James has been a Shadow Cliff swimmer for 13 years. This is his 4th year as an assistant coach. He graduated from MacArthur High School in 2022. While at MacArthur, he was Drum Major in the band for 2 years, as well as a district and regional swimmer on the swim team in Freestyle and Breaststroke. He studies music education at the University of Houston. He is excited to work with the younger swimmers and help give them the great experiences he has had as a Shark.
James is available for private lessons.
Riley was a club swimmer and summer league swimmer for 13 years. He swam on multiple summer swim teams including the Shadow Cliff Sharks Swim Team. This is his 3rd year as an assistant coach. At Churchill High School he was a varsity swimmer for four years and a Captain for two. Riley was a District, Regional and State team member while at Churchill. He specializes in breaststroke, freestyle and IM. Riley graduated from Churchill High School in 2022. Riley studies Engineering at Texas A&M University in College Station. He is very excited to share his love and extensive knowledge of swimming with your swimmer.

Sam Stephenson has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2012. He is currently a Senior at MacArthur High School where he has been a varsity swimmer for 4 years, and a district and regional swimmer. This is his 3rd year as a Jr coach.
JP Tracy has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. He is currently a junior at School of Science Technology College Preparatory. He has been a club swimmer with AAAA-NE for 3 years. This is his 3rd year as a Jr coach.
Kam Tune has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. She is currently a Junior at MacArthur High School where she has been a varsity swimmer for 3 years, and a district, and regional swimmer. This is her 3rd year as a Jr coach.

Alyson Biehl has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. She is currently a senior at Churchill High School where she is a varsity and district swimmer. This is her 2nd year as a Jr coach.

Addy Liese has been a Shadow Cliff Shark since 2018. She is currently a sophomore at Churchill High School where she is a Varsity swimmer. This is her 2nd year as a Jr coach.
